Bodiam Castle – Winter 2010

The weather was looking good for what turned out to be the first day of spring so I planned an early morning shoot at the stunning Bodiam Castle in East Sussex. I arrived while it was still dark so managed to capture the whole light range on the sunrise. A nice set of images for stock use as well as family christmas cards. It was a very magical morning so I also decided to capture an extra dimension with a short HD video shot on the 5D mk2.

There’s some times when the safety and security of a 9-5 job really appeals but not on this day. After the heaviest snowfall I’ve experienced in London the next day was clear and sunny, and where better to enjoy it than on Hampstead Heath with kids and adults alike enjoying a forced break from the weekday grind.

New York | September 2008

In september 2009 I was invited to attend possibly the worst organised music festival I’ve ever been to. I won’t go into the details but I’m guessing the organisers won’t be trying this one again. The festival was pretty dire save for a killer performance by Francois K on the closing night. After the festival I had a few more days in New York and had a great time hanging out with a good friend, James from The Agriculture exploring the city and going to check Francois play again at his weekly residency at Cielo.

Numusic Festival 2008 – Stavanger, Norway | September 2008

I was lucky enough be invited to Stavanger on the coast of Norway to attend the Numusic Festival on behalf of samurai.fm. It was a 5 day festival so I had a bit of time in-between shows to check out the town and was lucky enough to be given a boat trip into Lysefjord. You can listen to some of the music from the festival at the samurai.fm feature.

Lethargy Festival – Zurich, Switzerland | August 2008

I was invited to the 2008 Lethargy Festival in Zurich on behalf of samurai.fm to record some of the shows for a feature on the 2 day event. Zurich is a really beautiful city and luckily the same weekend it was the citys annual Street Parade. About 1 million people decend on the city for the second largest street festival in Europe, there really was no getting away from the music that weekend!
